Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common queries about tile selection, size measurements, maintenance standards, and installation setups.

What is the difference between vitrified and ceramic tiles?

Vitrified tiles are formed using hydraulic compaction and high-temperature firing, creating a glass-like (vitrified) surface with low water absorption (<0.05%). This makes them incredibly strong and stain-proof, ideal for living room flooring. Ceramic tiles are slightly more porous and lighter, making them optimal for kitchen backsplashes and bathroom walls.

How do I calculate the number of boxes needed for my room?

You can use our online interactive Smart Tile Estimator on the Catalog page! Simply input your room length and width, select your preferred tile dimensions, choose a wastage buffer (typically 10%), and the system will automatically calculate the raw count, buffer, and total box count required.

Why is a wastage buffer necessary?

During installation, tiles must be cut to fit wall borders, columns, or corners. A standard wastage buffer of 10% ensures you have enough replacement material to complete the grid without delaying the project.

How do I maintain glossy vitrified surfaces?

Vitrified tiles feature a protective silicate glaze. Sweep or vacuum daily to remove abrasive dust particles, and clean using a standard damp microfiber mop and mild soap. Avoid acidic cleaners or steel wool pads which can score the glossy finish.
